This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They are a total scam. I only wish I had thoroughly researched it more before having them out to do a "simple" Duct cleaning. I have terrible allergies, and though this may help. I saw their add in the Clipper mag and called to schedule. One techs out they claimed I had toxic mold, they showed my husband, who concurred. Anyway there went the 69$ Duct special. $1000 later... Anyway, a week later I tried to start my air (it was nice and cool here in FL) and nothing.
The outside unit was running BUT NO AIR was flowing through vents. I called company, that was on a Saturday, it is now the following Thursday and I JUST got it fixed. I was told every single day in between that someone was "on the way" to look at it. (I knew it was their fault because the techs told us how great our unit looked etc at the initial service. And my unit had worked perfectly for 2 years prior to their service without incident since we have been in our home). Every day I sat and waited, everyday I got a call late at night with another b.S. Excuse.
Finally Wednesday night 2 techs showed, and determined that, in fact the blower had been reinstalled BACKWARDS. They told my husband and then said they couldnt fix it and left. I called the 866 number and was furious, and they put on a good show about also being furious at techs for leaving etc. Was promised techs would be back to fix it next morning at 9 am. Well, finally at 1 pm the next day they showed, re assembled it and fixed their mistake, then proceeded to tell me I was out of freon (which had been full at initial service)
I insisted they replace it, since I assumed the coils freezing over from THEIR mistake had caused freon leak. Was told they could not authorize this, called AGAIN and was told this "JOE" charachter, was once again unavailable. Which is amazing since he is the owner and had been (allegedly) notified of my situation, yet I get varying accounts of his involvment. I was told he was not there and could not be reached to ok the freon replacement. I told the rep that I had his home address, cell and facebook, and that I was also aware of his lack of registering this so called AIR / DUCT company with the state of FL since 1998. (all compliments of sunbiz.org and my sleuthing hubby)...
I was put on hold and within 2 minuites told it had been ok'd and the techs could refill my freon. WOW, I am going to pursue this, I want a total refund. Although compared to some of the other horror stories I have read here, my experience was fairly tame. I also let them know that my home and neighborhood were under video survaillance (which they are, in fact) and that if anyone had any slick ideas, it would be caught on camera. Thank God I am done with them... For now. Of course they never know when karma may rear its ugly, yet fair head.
