I contacted FL AC Services and Duct Cleaning for a cleaning ($39 coupon from ValuPack). Technicians immediately stated that they could not clean the ducts if there was mold. Upon entering the house "Asi" said there was mold.
He stated that the AC unit was good - but I would need to install a $2000 UV light. After much debating, I paid $1900 for the UV light and cleaning.
I called and asked for an itemized bill to be sent... Received nothing.
2 months later the AC went out. They came back out and said I needed a new unit - and they could install it next day for $3000. I declined. They said they could get one installed the next day for $2000.
I declined and called another AC company. During other AC tech visits (other companies) it was clear that I never had mold (just dust / dirt) and that the UV light was installed against code (110 plug was cut and tied into the 220 handler line).
I continued trying to get the bill from the first visit - I called numerous times - and the "supervisor, " Naomi was always out. I left messages that were never returned. I sent three letters and did not receive a reply.
I ended up getting another company to install a new system. It's working fine. The UV light (which the other company would not install) sits on a shelf. I've tried selling it back to FL AC Services, but they won't return my calls or letters.
