How about cleaning your air ducts for $39 AND giving you a free pound of freon for your A/C unit?! Sounds great!
That's just the lure to get you to call and make an appointment. I wonder if anyone in the history of this company has ever had a $39 cleaning - doubt it.
As soon as he opened my air handler..."Oh we have big problem... You have mold, my friend. Very bad, this is very very bad." Of course, this needs to be sanitized, sprayed, and subjected to constant UV light treatment. With few strokes of his calculator (and a call to his boss, lol), we're at $1000 to get rid of the mold. Wow, a far cry from the $39! I immediately just tell him it's not happening today - must talk to the wife. He says "Ok sure, no problem, and feel free to call around to get other estimates... But, my friend, this is very very serious - you need to have this done or else it will eventually get into your walls and be much more serious."
So, just beware, if you think you're gonna get your vents cleaned for $39 out the door, think again. That ad is just to get them in your door, and from there it's all about negotiation. I have no doubt that IF I were ready to have them clean the ducts, we would've gone back and forth like a car dealer. So, just know that the pricing is most certainly negotiable.
