This report is to warn people about Roto Rooter. I had a clogged kitchen sink on a Saturday night which I had clogged twice some years ago, and found some reasonable plumbers to go up on my roof to snake it out, and each time they charged me 89.00 dollars so I looked in the yellow pages to find that Roto Rooter would come out 24/7 with no extra charge for nights, weekends or holidays. When I called them they said that they only had one tech working that night, and would come out in the morning. I asked the price of cleaning the clogged sink, and the lady from Roto Rooter said the tech would have to look at the problem first, and then give me a total price. When the one tech person came out he said he would do the job for $216.00 I told him I had this done before, and was only charged $89.00 so get this he said well I can work with you on the price, and said he could do it for $129.00 for the service call. I told him to forget it, so my son and I rented a manual snake for $16.00 and in 15 minutes the sink was unclogged. I hope this will deture people from using Roto Rooter, and save you some money.
