My contractor had used this company before, so when I decided to use them for a solar system I had few reservations. I gave them my credit card information to purchase an inverter ($6,056) so we could secure the last one in stock.
I then had to wire transfer $24,622.44 to their business account so they could order my solar panels. I did and was notified that the panels would be there in 3-5 days. After weeks went by I called to cancel the order. I received telephone calls and emails very unhappy that they had spent the time on this and was told I could not cancel. I emailed the final cancellation. I was then told that I would have to pay a 20% restocking fee on the entire order. It was never disclosed and not written anywhere on my contractors invoices or mine. I disagreed.
They refused the refund back to me so I called the credit card company to dispute. I have had to hire an attorney and they have theirs. No refund of the $24,622.44 has occurred months later, they refuse even the 80% refund and then the owner calls me to tell me if I remove the negative postings about their company that she will process my refund sooner. Not only did they take my money, but after contacting Siliken in San Diego they didn't have an account yet, the order wasn't made and it was never ready to ship as they indicated.
This is a total scam in which I will file a lawsuit to get my money returned. Buyer Beware from this company. I have filed complaints with Better Business Bureau, Yelp, complaint, Attorney General and tax authority to assure this doesn't happen to anyone else. Thesolarbiz.info should be reviewed before doing business with them.
