We called Michael Fitzgerald, owner and operator of All Fields of Concrete in Archer Heights (Chicago) to re-pave our worn out driveway. Fitzgerald said he would come around 2PM to give an estimate. He never showed. We gave him another chance and he finally came a few days later -3 hours late and reeking of whiskey. He shot a low bid so we thought what the heck.
The guy came and removed our old asphalt driveway, then didn't return. Meanwhile, we had to deal with a sea of mud where the old driveway had been. After calling All Fields of Concrete several times and leaving numerous messages, we finally got the guy to come backand finish the work. 3 weeks after he said it would be done, they FINALLY completed our driveway. What a butcher job they did. The lack ofquality and workmanship is shocking. And the cost went through the roof - way above the estimate given. Their contracts have a hidden "escalation clause." Ouch.
The driveway is sloped incorrectly andwater runs back into our garage. Except the part where the water lays in pools in the middle of it. The driveway looks like a roller coaster. The neighborhood skateboarders use it as a half-pipe. Cracks are alreadyforming in the crappy concrete.
We have tried to contact All Fields of Construction, but the Fitzgerald obviously has caller ID and dodges our calls. We sent a certified letter but have not heard back. Wemay end up suing this quack. I understand there are other lawsuits involving All Fields of Concrete in Chicagoland.
Avoid this crooked outfit at all cost. Don't be taken in by the fraudulent tactics of All Fields Construction.
