Elliotts Elite heating & cooling, Inc. (Is a rip-off company) We paid top dollars for them to replace our central AC and gas furnaces about 3 and half years ago, since the installation we had nothing but the problems. This year the AC is not cold, they send Charles and he did the "VISUAL INSPECTION" and told us that there is leak, charged us for $85 without proving the reading from either the low side and the high side. Come on, it is common sense that there is a leak somewhere and thats why the AC is not cold, we don't need to spend $85 for someone to tell us that, right? However, Charles wrote the steps on the invoice on how to proceed to fix the leak: (1) $500 recharges refrigerant R-410A. (2) $250 to locate the leak. (3) $1,200 to $1,500 labor charge to replace Evaporator coil, he believed the leak is coming from evaporator coil, he also recommend us to get the third party evaporator coil for replacement even our evaporator coil is covered under warranty by Carrier. So we are looking at total of $2,250 to repair the leak? Is this is a Rip-Off or what? Remember, they are the one who installed the whole system. I do not recommend them to anyone, unless you have money to burn!
