JVC Has probably the worst technical service especially when it comes to warranty repairs. First off, I bought a camcorder in June from Best Buy. Best Buy assured me 1 year parts/labor. The booklet that came with the camcorder said the same. JVC says 6 months labor/1 year parts. They will not fix an integrated circuit issue on this camcorder that makes the camera impossible to hook up to any pc via firewire (used many cables, different PCs and a MAC to no avail). To have a camcorder since June 08 and use it three times only to have to repair it and spend another 100-200 on repairs when the camcorder itself was 200 is absolute absurd and deserves attention of.

This is a clear example of a company like JVC not catering to the needs of both their customers and their poor electronics.

Not only did I write this, but I contacted the NY Department of Commerce, the BBB, the NYS Attorney General, Best Buy National and the local store all to no avail.

This is completely unacceptable and I believe it's because of the economic hardships suffered by all (both manufacturer and consumer alike) - but still will not be tolerated.
