Selling Bogus leather warranties/poor customer service, poor quality leather furniture

Three years ago I bought several leather sofa's from lazy-boy. I paid top dollar and was sold their five year leather warranty. Now that I have a wear area on the sofa I tried to call the warranty company. No answer to calls or e-mails. Lazy-boy says sorry, they don't use that company anymore. Poor quality tanning or leather has got to be the answer because an expensive leather reclining sofa should not wear out in three years.
