Ripoff mistreated and ripped off spent $3,400 on a bedroom set that we don't even have and that they won't refund our money

On 4/19/03 me and my partner went to Jaana's Furniture to purchase a bedroom set. They didn't have in stock the one I wanted, so the store manager Kimberly showed me different catalogs so that I can choose a different bedroom set.

I chose one that she ordered for me with a king size bed, dresser with mirror, armoire and a night stand. I then returned that same day and bought a dinning set, and a small table with two stool chairs.

On the delivery date they brought in the bedroom set, damaged my walls and the delivery guys said the posts to hold the canopy weren't available. When I called the store I was told they didn't know they were missing the post they would order it to be received in one month. I said I wasn't waiting for a month and wanted my money back but, when I went to the store they told me they had the origional set I wanted so, I said I'll take it.

When it was delivered the delivery guys said they couldn't bring it upstairs it was too heavy. My boyfriend got out of work to help them lift the furniture but they said they didn't have the screws to put the bed together. I then told them to take the set they left last time and this one too. I called the store and told the manager they don't have the screws I want a refund.

She said that the owner Jaana isn't there and I would have to wait to speak to her. The manager then called me to tell me the post from the first bedroom set had arrived. I said no the only thing I want now is the dinning set and that I was tired of dealing with them and I told her that I found a piece that was broken off the set they took.

On monday (three days after) they told me the owner was stuck in traffic coming from Orlando so, I returned the next day. I went to the owner and told her what was happening she already knew the details because she was there the first time I wanted the money back. She refused to give me a refund and I told her you have the bedroom set back now give me my money. It's not my fault you don't have the sets complete. She said I have the post and I told her yes but, I don't want you guys to damage my walls again and the delivery guys broke a piece from the bedroom set that I have the piece at home to show you. She said I can't refund your money because we order those and then I will loose money.

I told her I would report them. So when my boyfriend got off work him and his friend went to the store and he showed them the broken piece and pointed to them some scratches he noticed on the furniture from when the were moving it and they told him that he probably did that himself. We spent $3,400 on a bedroom set that we don't even have and that they won't refund our money, they didn't even offer store credit. I am sleeping on the floor.
