Our garage door sprocket (small plastic gear inside unit) wore down, and needed to be replaced. We chose to utilize a company we had out to replace the door spring, only two months before. We were quoted a price on the telephone, at the time we scheduled service. We were told it would cost between $40.00 and $80.00. There was no mention of additional cost, we figured it would cost $80.00 at the most. I was completely sick, when handed the bill...$156.59. It took the repair man twenty minutes to change the sprocket, there was no other service performed. Why didn't the office inform us that there was an $88.00 dollar service fee, over and above the estimate they quoted? We were handed coupons at the end of the transaction. The sprocket came to $68.59, $88.00 was added to that amount. I wish I could warn people about this company. I called and complained to no avail. I was told that they consider their prices competative. I guess this is the American way now.
