Very Poor Company Poor customer service, argumentitive, crappy communication

5 months ago i purchased a $350 coffee table and 2 end tables from Ashley furniture. When the product came in I saw how shotty the product was made and told them i wanted a refund. This was the third time we had receive junk merchandise from Ashley and was tired of dealing with them. They told us about the cancellation fee and that we would have to talk to the regional office to get approval for a full refund. No one at the main office would ever call us back even though we left several messages.

Finally i called the store last week and they said that 4 months ago they re-ordered the products and they have been sitting in the store. We explicitly asked them not to re-order and they never informed us that the products were sitting in the store. We are still fighting this store for a refund. Its wrong to re-order something without letting the customer know, but its worse to get the product in and never inform the customer that its in the store. This is the second and last time i will be screwed by Ashley furniture!

On top of all this the employees that we have spoke with do nothign but argue with us. Its not as much about the $85 cancelation fee as it is the principle of the matter. Companies should treat their customers better than this. If they wont work with you over an $85 fee why would you ever want to spend thousands with them on bigger furniture?
