My client contracted with Escobar for a boatdock. Escobar took the $14,000.00 and ran.
My client paid the second installment according to the contract after Escobar showed him what was purported to be his almost-finished dock.
My client later asked about the dock, and Escobar told him it was at a certain location. It was not there. Escobar pretended my client was mistaken and from then on avoided my client.
We had a letter of formal complaint delivered to him personally, and then he was nowhere to be found when we tried to serve him with lawsuit papers. I am trying to get a judgment against him but law requires that I prove he is not in the military, which I cannot do without his SS #. Name and birthdate are not enough. I have no idea how to get the SS #, but I can't get a judgment without it unless someone can help me prove he's not in the military now. Ridiculous, but that's the law.
Can anyone help? Has anyone seen him? I saw a similar complaint from Jon in Austin re Escobar doing business as Lakeline Welding in 2007. I would love to communicate with him.
