Purchased a white button leather Zuo sofa, great deal. Was very excited. Was told that when I purchased the sofa back in July that it was in stock. Funds were taken from my bank account on july 15. Soon to find after the purchase that it was on back order until August. Ok, no problem. During this time, I was corresponding to customer service regarding how it was going to be shipped. I live in nyc and curbside is not the best option. Originally was told delivery to apartment door was included, then I was told $100-150.00. Finally I was told $200.00. From that point I decided that curbside is the best option, and that I need to be present so that I can make my own arrangements, and I let them know. I spoke to customer service on the phone and sent an email.
In August they tell me sofa still not in, and have to now wait until September. On September 2, I called and was told that the order was never placed. I was livid. Customer service told me that they were waiting for my "go ahead" on the delivery. She said that she never received the email, and didn't acknowledge my telephone conversation with her confirming curbside delivery. Therefore, the order was never placed. (Essentially telling me, it was my fault) I told them that at this point I would like a concession, (include delivery to my door) or else I am THINKING of cancelling order. Their response was to simply cancel the order.
When I told them I never authorized the cancellation of the order she responded by taking an excerpt from the previous email and using it for her case. Now she tells me delivery to my door is $350.00. I told her curbside was ok with me.
Ok, I am still willing to buy this sofa... Seriously, I am patient. I said, let's move on. Is this sofa in stock? She responds with telling me that it is not in stock until end of October. This is ridiculous. I called the manufacturers of the sofa that recognized fastfurnshings.com as one of their vendors. They have sofas coming in 1 week. I let customer service know that I have the contact's name at Zuo (manufacturer)... And they do have the sofa. Please contact them, and let me know when is the earliest that I can get this sofa! No response. Keep in mind no reputable company charges you for a product that does not ship immediately, as the people at Zuo reminded me. They had my money for two months. I never got my sofa.
