Save yourself some money and use a good reputable flooring company from the start. If you use Mr. Sandless you will end up contacting another company to remove the mess and shotty work they leave behind.
I contacted them to refinish my kitchen and entry way. I needed them to match existing wood floors. I was told the work could be done, the colors would match and it would look great and it would be done in a day, and cost $1100.
Well to say the least that did not happen. On the first day their "specialist", and I use this term very loosly, showed up over an hour late, and "colored" the floors the wrong color. I was told they would have to come back the next day to restrip the floors and restain them. Someone would call me back. No one ever did.
The next day I called first thing in the morning and they had to send a "spectialist" to my work to pick up a house key so they could go do the work. When I got home that night, I was mortified at the work. The color was not even close the the color they needed to match. I looked like someone thre color on the floor, there were large steaks of stain, stain on walls, carpets, baseboards.in some areas the stain was not even flush with the wall and you could see the old floor color. It looked terrible.
I tried talking to them an explaining my issue. Their answer was that "I was selling the house anyway, so what did it matter" I finally got the manager, Kevin, to come and look. His solution was to come and put a finished piece around the floor to cover up where the stain was not flush with the wall. The scratched and marks on the floor were not removed at all. I asked him if he felt the work was professional. He would not answer me. I agreed to the finishing piece, thinking it might help. It didn't. They put in the cheapest, stark white PLACTIC finishing quarter round they could find. And within two weeks their "finish" had started to bubble and peal away.
My real estate agent recommended I get the floors fixed because there was not way I was going to be able to sell my house with the way it looked. When I told them I was not happy, did not want my card charged until I was happy with the floors and suggested they needed to be done over to match stain better and get scratched removed, the charged my credit card that same day and now refuse to refund the money.
I finally had my floor refinshed by another company, spend another $1400 and they did an excellant job. The floor colors match perfectly, you can't even tell the floors are different. The finish is perfect and the floor now look fantastic.
It is just really sad when a company that does as shotty and unprofessional work like that is allowed to be in business. I am a single mother and I just flushed $1100 down the toilet with these people. The are unprofessional, rude, uncaring and unethical. They took advantage of me.
Save your money and go with someone else. You will not get the work that is promised, and you will end up aggravated.
