Returned merchandise returned it's been used ripoff business victimized many consumers Everywhere

Over the years I have purchased several items from Home Depot that I later discovered had either been used, abused, or were missing parts. Exact examples? Sure: The can of expanding spray foam, retail price approximately $6. The can had been used but returned to the shelf. When I got home and opened the top, the expanding foam had totally sealed off the nozzle, making the can utterly worthless. Two seconds spent by the return clerk checking the can should have alerted them that it was not a viable product.

Example #2—bought a 75 foot hose, upon using it, it had several pinholes in it, making it virtually worthless as a hose.

Example #3— the manual (push style) lawnmower. I bought the last one on the shelf, assembly required. I specifically asked the clerk if all the parts were in it, since the box appeared to have been opened and taped back shut. He took a gander and said "all the parts are there". Upon lugging the box home and trying to assemble it, I discovered that some inept moron before me had attempted to assemble it and had done such a half-ass job and left it that way, it would take me hours to undue the moron's work and re-assemble it correctly. I angrily stomped back to the store, cursing all the way. Why hadn't someone checked that box before it was just shoved back on the shelf?

Home Depot doesn't adequately check return merchandise. They simply throw it in a bin and re-shelve it later. Buyer Beware!!
