Steven Roy Smith is a real piece of work. He is a shady and dishonest Real Estate Broker. He has a history of running up large debts both in his personal life and in his business, which he does not make any effort to pay.
He was evicted from his office space a year ago for not paying his rent. He was evicted from his home in February for not paying rent. He left that house in such bad condition that it may not be inhabitable any more. He started the procedure to buy a home on a land contract, and moved in prior to closing. Since then, he has defaulted on his offer to buy and refuses to leave the property.
He has failed to pay the companies that were providing services to his business, such as the phone company, sign companies, Multi List Services and even agents and employees. Even the company whose franchise he was using is trying to collect the thousands of dollars that he owes them.
He has been trying to raise funds for his new real estate investment company and almost had an agent give him $50,000. I had to warn the agent not to give him any money as he would have used it to pay of his debts and bills so he could stay in business.
Please expose this man so Michigan will be safe from him and his scams and schemes.
