Real Estate Agent Jas Takhar accepts $498 for a real estate referral program. He claims that if you send him a house referral he will give you $498 back.in order to be in the program, I had to pay into the program a one time fee. Well I should have known better but I got scammed big time. He accepted the $498 in cash but provided no receipt. Even after my request for a receipt for tax reasons. I then realized something was wrong. So I then contact OREA and spoke with an investigator. She explained real estate agents cannot pay for house leads directly without going through the real estate broker. She urged me to file a formal complaint because Takhar is not an ethical real estate agent as she explained. Taskhar was not upholding the Real Estate and Business Brokers Act. Since I gave him cash (stupid me) and was promised an invoice the next day but never received one. I was out of luck. So I am writing this to warn everyone about this unethical individual.
