So I just bought a house and then went to Best Buy and bought all new appliances... Refridgerator, dishwasher, range, and over the range microwave.
I was so excited...
They delivered my new appliances and left everything sitting in the middle of my kitchen. They said they were just the delivery men and that was all they did, but it took them over an hour to do just that. Annoying yes but whatever exciting i got my new appliances right... Wrong!
Later that evening I was sitting down to eat dinner in my dinning room when I notice this huge scratch on the inside of my door frame right through the drywall. Then I see a little hole in the wall about the size of a quarter. Not to mention on my door frame there are chuncks of paint and drywall missing. Then I have scratches all over my floor through the foyer and all over the kitchen.
I realize most of these things are small but I had just moved into this house 1 week before all this happened and my house has new every thing floor, paint, and now it is all ruined. I called Best Buy that evening and they made a damage claim and said an operations manager would call me in the morning. I waited most of the next day and no call so I called them to my suprise the operations manager Randy had left for the day. I speak with another gentleman who sympothizes with me and says he will get to the bottom of everything. Okay I was feeling alright at this point.
He calls me back the next day and says he spoke with the delivery guys and they said they did not do it, and he says to me he is inclined to take what they say. I say to him fine come get al of my stuff then, and he says on no ma'am we will have our insurance person call you. So I think at this point I am going to get my stuff repaired.
An insurance lady calls me and asks me to emai lher pictures of the damage and to get estimates to have my stuff repaired. I get a call from her today and apparently it is all still up in the air that My stuff may not get fixed since I did not notice it at the time of delivery. These men made me so uncomfortable all I wanted was them out of my house... Granted I did not say wait here while I go over every nook and cranny of my house looking for damage. I did not let any time lapse I called that eneing 5 minutes after I noticed it.
I will never again buy anything from Best Buy not even a c.D. And if my stuff is not fixed I will return every last bit of it. How can they cause so much damage and not repair it, and why would they ask for pictures, and estimates if they do not intend to pay for the damage thier lacky delivery guys delivered.
