ShelterPlus is a business that installs storm shelters. I gave this company $5500 using credit cards to pay for the shelter. Two dates for installation were scheduled. Both were no shows.
First one the installers wife was ill. He did not call me, I called him attempting to discover what the problem was. He told me about illness of wife. I called the place of business after this call and set the second date for installation.
The day before the scheduled second time for installers to come I received a call that the installer said the ground was too wet. Not true. We have drought conditions.
That same evening I spoke to another representative of this company. He and I tried to set another appointment time. My available dates were not available for ShelterPlus. I suggested a refund at this point. Guy tells me not to worry, it would be installed the next day as scheduled.
No one showed or called until 4PM when the guy who promised the installation did. He tells me he has been at the emergency room with a friend all day and have not eaten a bite. I tell him I'm sorry to hear that but it does not get my work done.
I asked for a refund. He told me that I would need to get legal assistance to get my money back. Told him not a problem. But first I would dispute the charge with my credit card holders. That shut him up for a moment.
He then turns to "all sales are final." Tells me this is on the contract I signed. I never signed any contract, I received an invoice and no where did it state "all sales final." He stated that this was the only time my work was sheduled. I had to give him the date and reason given for the no show.
I ended the conversation and told him I would get a refund.
This foolish man calls 2 days later requesting my address so that he may mail me forms to sign. I still do not understand why he wanted forms signed and he should already have my address. Gave him the address again and told him no signatures and I wanted the refund.
3 days later he calls and wants to know who called the BBB. At this point it's becoming comical. I told him I did and I also started necessary procedures to dispute all charges on my credit cards. His response was to ask me why I wanted to cause trouble. He ranted and ranted about his troubles. I final ask him if I was actually dealing with a business that interacts with the public and if so did he have a supervisor. I had to ask that 3 times before he replied Yes. I told him to have this supervisor call me.
Supervisor calls that same day. He tells me he has only bits and pieces of the problem. I fill him in and also tell him that this individual I have been dealing with was one of the rudest and was so defensive that I could not get anything accomplishmented with him.
Here I am three days later and nothing from this company. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and disputed all charges with my credit card companies. At this point no storm shelter and no money to seek to purchase one from another company.
This company is called ShelterPlus. Credit Card shows payments made to CX Logistics LLC and the BBB used Consolidation Contractors on the complaint form.
