Horrible customer service - absolutely no satisfaction
I placed an order in may, filed a claim july 5th and i'm still waiting for denise at ccl, inc. To process my claim.
I bought seven adjustable gooseneck lights, bulbs and Invisashield spray. I had the fixtures installed on a commercial building. The fixtures immediately started breaking. One fell right in the doorway of a business. I'm lucky there was no injury and I wasn't sued. I've filed claims, sent pictures, made phone calls, offered to return the order and I've gotten nothing. These fixtures are advertised as steel but they are not. The adjustable neck appears to be a soft cast aluminum and this is the place they all broke. I'm now out the cost of the fixtures, the cost to have them installed and the cost to have them uninstalled. Total cost approx. $1,400. And I have NOTHING.
These light fixtures were advertised with a "lifetime warranty" and the website promised "customer satisfaction guaranteed".
There was no manufacturer name on anything in the paperwork or shipping cartons. Since CCL refused to make good on their warranty I asked for the name and phone number of the manufacturer - they refused to give it to me.
When I placed my order the reps were rude and demanding. I've never been treated so badly by business. I charged the order to a Visa card but you would have thought I had presented them with a 3 party check for payment.
I hope this helps someone out there. I only wish I had seen this website before I placed an order with CCL, Inc. Or whatever they choose to call themselves today. If this keeps one person or company from making the same mistake, that will be the only satisfaction I get out of this.
I see that the company has SOLD and it makes me wonder if it's a transfer of assets to avoid lawsuits.
