Liberty lighting Scam artists

I was contacted and asked if I would be the point of contact for future sales with Liberty Lighting. They told me that they were moving their warehouse and that they were just checking in to confirm an order with us. I replied that I was new, had worked there as a volunteer for a couple of days, and had no idea what they were talking about, but if they needed a point of contact for the shipment than they could use my name. Then I was told that they had done a promotion with Bass Pro shops, and that they were going to put a knife in the box as a gimme for me. They asked for a PO number for the shipment and I replied that again, I was new and a volunteer and had no idea about ordering and that I'd ask about PO's for further orders but that I wouldn't be the one to do the ordering.
A few days later we a box showed up with a bill for 600 dollars worth of lighting that, it turns out, no one had ordered, as worth about ten dollars, and that did not fit any of our fixtures because of course, this was a scam and Liberty Lighting is a couple of guys in their den with a couple of phones, a phone book and a computer...

As for the guy who rebutted the other complaint, I'm sure he'll rebut this one as well. He's probably sitting in his den with the other guy, with a phone and a phone book, and a computer. They claim to have a recording of me ordering the lighting but in fact what they have (if they even have a recording) is a guy mumbling and reading off a bunch of specs about lighting fixtures and my reply that I had no idea what they were talking about and that I'd have to look at some of our fixtures to see what size bulb they took. How can I order lighting if I don't even know what size bulb it takes? Just because you talked to me on the phone and I said you could use me as a point of contact doesn't mean I'm agreeing to buy anything from you, or that I want you to send me sullies I didn't ask for.

It turns out that according to federal law if you receive something in the mail that you did not order, you don't have to pay for it. Now we have a bunch of light bulbs that don't fit any of our fixtures, and a cheap knife that no one wants because its so cheaply made that it's dangerous.

The specific law that deals with these scammers is: (Pub. L. 91375, Aug. 12,1970, 84 Stat. 749.) in case you were wondering. If they send you something, it's yours to keep.
