Just to start in case you dont get a chance to finish this report:
Stay away from these people!!!
I am not going to give you all the gory details just the outline.
Before I did business with this company I called and discussed their return and warranty policy. Specifically what would happen if I received a defective part? I was informed that if an item came, and was out of the box defective that they would replace the part. If I wanted my money back that the item would need to be checked to be sure it was defective. To issue refunds the item in question would need to be checked by the factory first. Also before you send the item back you need to call for an RA number. Thinking they where on the level, I agreed and ordered a couple of items from them.
How wrong can you be? A very expensive part came and was found to be defective upon installation on the engine. I contacted PAT's, informed them what had occurred, and was issued an RA number to return it under, for a replacement. They even offered to "sell" me a replacement which would be sent out directly. If the unit I received was found not to have been damaged by me and was indeed defective they would credit me the cost of the replacement. They received the part and contacted me to let me know that after an item has been installed they will no longer take it back or replace it and sent it back to me. I contacted them and spoke with several people there about the issue. They could careless. They will say things like, "you may have purchased it from us but you really didn't purchase it from us as we did not make the part". When you tell them if you had know about this you would have purchased the part from a local reputable shop they say, "Yea and it most likely would have cost more".
Double talk like that is hard to find
If you purchase a part from these guys be sure you know that if you have a problem they will not stand behind it at all. They are like the people who sell out of their van on the street corner. Once they have your money, your own it. NOT MATTER WHAT! On top of that the shipping is a rip-off.
