I received a caruburetor that had the Air Screw broken off flush with the main body. I talked to several rude people at Pats Small Engine Plus including Brian the manager. He told me that they would be glad to send me another one if I paid for it now and they would only refund me for the defective one once the manafacturer refunded them.
This sounded shady and after I continued to try to make my case that I had not installed the part and it was defective out of the box and I only wanted a replacement sent to me as soon as they received the first one back from me. He insisted that the part had to be sent back to the manafacturer first and that might take 3 to five weeks and he insisted I purchase another one.
I said I already have 2 bad ones (the one that failed and the one I had purchased) and didn't need another one just yet. He finally said to sent the old one back addressed to him and he would check into it. He hung up on me stating he had other upset customers waiting to talk to him.
At this point I still have a broken lawnmower, I have a delivery receipt for shipping the new carburetor back, and they have my $106.90. Somehow, I don't expect this status to change anytime soon.
