Corporation Whirlpool uses faulty parts and won't replace them or honor warrenty

We bought a Whirlpool Duet Sport Washer and Dryer through the Military Exchange Catalog online. It was shipped directly from Whirlpool, but took over two months to arrive. (That's two months of warrenty time we lost because the warrenty is figured from date of purchase.)

The gas dryer wasn't set for propane so they sent a repairman out to fix that "under warrenty." They never paid the repairman for the work. He refused to come out when the washer broke.

The belt broke on the washer after only six weeks use. We called customer service who had a different repairman come out. However, all he could do was take the broken belt off. Whirlpool does not make replacement belts available. The repairman told us he's had belts on order for over three months, but Whirlpool has not released them to distributors. We called Whirlpool and they confirmed that the belt was not released.

We asked the a belt be sent immediately or the machine replaced and the customer service person said they couldn't do either one. We asked to speak to a supervisor and she refused to get a supervisor on the phone.

Doing six to eight loads of laundry a week at the laundry mat plus making payments on the washer and dryer is quite a physical and financial hardship for disabled people.

Whirlpool appliances are a rip off because they use inferior parts and won't honor their warrenty.

Thank God! We didn't buy the worthless extended warrenty that won't be honored either.
