My elderly father has received 2 letters in short time from 2 agents of Foxtons; Christopher White and Timothy Kelly. The state to call at 866-347-9010 or if missed at office call private phone 201-508-6947 or 732-623-0012. All 3 numbers have the same recording for response.
The letters state they have anxious buyer who wants to purchase in Manchester, NJ. The both state they need his help, either to purchase his home or if he knows of someone selling to call them.
These letters concern him; they are handwritten, not on Foxton letterhead and they are addressed to his deceased wife and him which caused him more grief to be reminded when he sees a letter addressed with her name. He is suspcious of a scam and wants to know how he got on their mailing list. He wants the letters to stop and feels harassed. His house is not now, has not been and will not be for sale.
I have told him to save the letters and I will make the phone calls to get them to stop. I seached the web and found many homes on their site for sale in area and also found the complaints of the same type letters. They evidently use this ploy often to get listing and no buyer is anxious.
