Doesn't give back deposit despite contract terms

My ex-husband and I built a home with this company back in the early to mid 90s. Though the contract said that if we were turned down for financing we would get our deposit back, they did not honor this and sold our home to someone else, while still keeping our deposit.

I tried for years and spent my money to try to get the deposit back and was not successful. Stay far away.
