Danger! BEWARE of Gideon and Rita Frishman who co-owned Bison Builders aka Bison Building Company, LLC of Springfield, Virginia.
Bison is currently under Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection up for liquidation (since 5/07), but these two may re-emerge under another company's name in the future. They may have done this in the past and given the chance may do it again!
They left in the dust tens of small mom and pop contractors, some who have lost in the hundreds of thousands of dollars (New York Concrete of Virginia alone lost $750,000), as well as large contractors and suppliers who trusted them.
Their new home buyers fared worse, as many lost their deposits in the hundreds of thousands of dollars each for custom homes that were not built. These are innocent families for whom their dreams of the dream home were turned into nightmares by the Frishmans.
The losses among contractors, suppliers and consumers tally into the several millions of dollars and perhaps more. This can be verified by requesting a copy of the bankruptcy filing for Bison Building Company, LLC filed in May at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Alexandria, Virginia.
Under the umbrella of the U.S. Bankruptcy laws they left behind a trail of victims with total impunity. Protected by the corporate shield of their LLC they sheltered their personal assets without any consequences for their actions. It is unconscionable that there hasnt been a criminal investigation in this case to get to the bottom of it all.
Since there seems to be no justice at law, perhaps there can be consumer and corporate justice by exposing them to the internet community.
