We contacted Greystone Home Builder to build us a new home. We have a seven year-old daughter with special needs, wheel-chair bound and have to accomodate her as she gets older and bigger.
We agreed on the price of the home ($999,990) and gave them earnest money ($50,000) to get the process started. Our financial institution (Chase Bank, Frisco, TX) discovered the builder had an unacceptably low credit score (FICA score) of 483 and obviously denied the financing. Far too risky!
We requested our earnest money returned several weeks ago and are still waiting, unable to contact/locate anyone from Greystone. No calls are being returned and their is no communication. We have no actual office address as they float around different areas trying to complete current construction.
We believe this builder has already spent our earnest money to complete another project ("rob Peter to pay Paul"??) and is trying to find a way to extract as much out of us as possible.
