The lawn care service cut my lawn, however, he did destroy two parts where repair was to occur. After selling home, a final invoice was requested. Received an invoice totalling $175.00 over 6 weeks after moving. Arranged payments to be made through bank in 2 payments installments, however, the bank send an extra payment.
This resulted in an overpayment of $87.50 to the lawncare service. Called requesting a refund, no respond to my phone call so send copies of checks from bank with a letter requesting refund which I got no response. I kept calling and finally did get a hold of him which he promised refund, never did receive.
I finally reported him to the BBB who called him and was promised to return over payment. I recieved letter in response to comlaint to the BBB saying that he would return overpayment which he never did. I have told him that I would take him to court but it will cost me more than what the overpayment is.
I just want him to return the overpayment. It gets me concern that if he has done this to me what kind of accounting practices is he applying and who else is he doing this too. It is a small community with alot of elderly people that have fixed incomes. Also, is he reporting correct income and expenses to the IRS, since he should have picked up the overage if he had properly booked the payments into his records.
