I purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer from Lowes in March. The washer broke down on July 31. They sent a service man who explained that they no longer carry parts for repairs. All parts must be ordered and shipped to the consumer. The waiting time is about 10 days. When I called after ten days had passed, they informed me that the part was on backorder and wasn't expected to be available for another month (September 7) - plus the additional shipping time of 10 days.
The customer service people at both Lowes and Whirlpool were completely nopnresponsive to customer needs. Some were very polite but nonresponsive - others were very rude (Jena - 468432) and nonresponsive. No one has any real concern that their consumer has to go for 2 months without a washing machine. I will never buy Whirlpool products again. I will never buy a major appliance from Lowes again
