We purchased this very high priced oven a little over a year ago. Thank god we got the Sharp extended warranty. To date sharp has replaced the stove three times.in each case the glass cook top has shattered or cracked under normal us, usually while cooking. Each time this involves a wait for shipping, hiring a electrician to remove the old stove and replace with a new one. Sharp is unable to find a service agent willing to come to our town in Massachusetts. But they try for three or four days before admitting defeat and sending a new stove.
This is a dangerous product. It happen again today and we are now asking Sharp for a full refund. This is a rental property and we can't afford to be replacing ther stove every few month. To date we have paid $370 to have the stove removed and replaced by an electrician. The model number is the KB-4425JW but all the Insight sharp ranges use the same top.
