Naoma Schmidt, owner of Nature's Keepers came in with a verbal low bid, doubled her price once in writing and then talked and talked and talked but did very little. She demanded $6,100 up front claiming a need to rent equipment and hire in manpower to start the job. The first day she brought in a crew and did a great job prepping the front yard.
That's where is stopped. My husband and I supervised all of the work done and if we hadn't, none of it would have gotten done. Her crew dwindled daily from 7 or 8 guys to a measily one at the end. He has been working for her a matter of 3 days at this time. She is dishonest and tried to nickle and dime us to death. She also required us to pay a total of $110 per load of cleanup, leaving piles of sod as "trash" out in front of our house.
She did a horrible job in the backyard, not levelling it and not removing the rock or old sod as she said she would and did in the front yard. She laid sod directly on top of the sprinklers, not bothering to bury them at all. She laid the sod 4 days after starting and still did not have the sprinklers installed and working. We ended up hand watering for 5 days in the front and are still hand watering in the backyard as the backyard sprinklers are not working. We are not paying the measily $469 still "owed" and have called and left a message for her not to return.
My husband is out repairing the sprinkler job she did out back and the kids and myself will be filling in all the sink holes left by the crappy job she did. Do not be fooled. Do not hire this person to do any work. She is a fraud! I wish I had seen usacomplaints.com filed in May before we hired her to work for us. We also have photos of the mess she made of our yard. As well as photos of ourselves fixing the mess she left.
