Kilifi Haatoa, sometimes also call himself Pou or Tony, took my money and abandoned the job.
He knocked on my door on a weekend day in November. He talked into me to let him replace the sod of my front yard, and he promised the whole job will only take 3 - 4 days.
He did an OK job in the first a couple of days. He had his people removed my old sod. After that things started to turn weird. He started to ask more money. He said my sprinkler will not work with the new sod, although my sprinkler is still working. I was very upset but eventually, I compromised and agree to pay for the replacement of the my sprinkler.
He did hired some people to replace my sprinkler, but not as what he promised, he did not re-layout the sprinklers as we agreed.
After he'd done with the sprinkler, he stopped showing up.
At the mean time, I noticed that he started soliciting in my neighborhood and tried to start more jobs.
I tried to call him. Every time, he came up with an excuse. The weather is not good, he is sick, he lost his voice blah blah.
So please watch out this person.
