Manufacturer defect, moldy walls, inadequate repairs, insurance refused to fix

Ditto, ditto, ditto! My mfg home seemed great for about a year. I then noticed that the walls were very soft. I removed some pictures I had up because I noticed that they had started to "run" and had "spots" on them. To my horror, behind the pictures was black mold! I pressed on this and could push my finger right through the walls. I called the insurance company and they refused to fix it because they said the problem was a manufacturer's defect and up to the manufacturer to fix.

It took many, many, many months of headaches, phone calls, etc. On my behalf to get someone out here to "Band-Aid" the problem. The manufacturer sent someone to work on it who actually told me that the model "Laredo" that I had, had been keeping them busy throughout the entire state because they all were built the same way and allowed for leaking into all the outside walls of the homes and caused the same problem.

I told my sister who had just bought the same model home and she called them and they immediately came out to fix the problem so she would not go through the same mess. They never actually fixed everything, but they made my husband (now ex-husband) sign a paper saying they had fixed a number of things (although it was not a complete list of things that needed to be fixed).
