I spent over 600.00 on furniture at this store 04/01, supposed to deliver in 6-8 weeks, never came - contacted them and always given the runaround, the furniture not being produced in China, sitting down in Texas, the train to bring it not running. Talked with Brian Holt several times - asked to speak to manager. Never got to speak to this person until I filed charges in court in 08 to get my money back, then he called, said he could deliver - told him already got something else and just wanted the money back. Told by associate in the store they did not give refunds?
Refunds - I never got my furniture, hello! It has taken going thru court several times - they never answered when commanded to appear, they did not give any response to court actions, totally thumming their nose at the courts. Won by judgement to levy furniture. Met deputy sheriff at store Tuesday after Memorial Day - Holt was there and said I could get money that afternoon at 4- went at 4, not there and I got REALLY, REALLY LOUD and made sure any and all potential customers heard me talking about their taking my money and not giving back. Holt said come back at 11:30 next day - they gave me check and it bounced all the way to and around the bank - went to not to deposit but to see if they had that amount - not for 3 times of my going back checking on the amount they had in the check.
I finally went Thursday morning - going to tell them if no money Friday at 9 I was going to district attorney to file rubber check charges and was told they had cash for me. I intended to picket or show up in the store again and SHOUT and really make myself seen and heard. I read another report here about the same store - you can get your money back but it takes some acting out - I think. These are people you want to stay completely away from - total unethical in treatment of their customers and underhanded - what slime balls!
