Our homes here in the adult community of Renaissance in Manchester NJ have some very bad problems. It seems as though the models with a tripple front window with tripple transome and half round window above ie Sienna 1 & 2 models and the Tivioli model have an inherent leaking problem with the front windows installation/construction, causing them to leak behind the stone, brick of other front siding material. This water then rots out the exterior sheathing, possibly the studs under the windows, window sill plates etc. There has been what appears to be mold in the walls.
Centex has begun to repair our homes but some of us have had our homes left incomplete for months now. Other of us have been waiting for months to have our home repairs started. This problem has been going on for years, the leaking windows etc.
Where were the Township building inspectors when our homes were built. I see them doing repairs on homes with no permits from the Township displayed in the windows as required. How do we know that the repairs are being completed as per code?
Please have your home inspected by a licensed Home Inspector prior to closing. I know Centex doesn't like that, but any honest home builder would not object.
