My families ordeal first started when we ordered a suite of appliances in the fall of 05. The delivery personel managed to damage each and every piece of it, washer, dryer, refr, stove. It took weeks for some to be replaced and longer for the rest as it came in piecemeal.
Shortly thereafter, the replacement refridg went bad causing us to lose what was soon to become the first of many losses of food that were to come. At this time maytag did the replacement for the replacement fridge.
Soon this same model again went south, another 500 in food down the drain. Many problems occurred after this and several more food losses with the latest happening in fall of 06 where we lost 700$ worth of organic foods and 3000$ worth of a specialty asthma injectable medication.
After numerous phone calls and I do mean numerous (hours and hours) with corporate on the phone at the same time as the service tech was declaring the maytag dead, big surprise they agreed to exchange for a different unit. We thought ok problem solved.
Wait aminute not so fast the refrig we picked has been rescheduled to many times to count for delivery. It is now oct 24 and I just recieved another phone call from sears to inform me of yet another resched. No surprise I got one yesterday too.
Well too many stories too many cell phone minutes, thousands in losses. Going broke trying to feed my family and can only buy and eat what we can readily consume or eat at rest. Buying milk at 7-11 every am for my 7.5 yr old, I cannot trust sears nor would I suggest others can.
They have not payed for any food, med and offered a product they cant deliver on. Shame on a company who puts a family at risk to further their own goals. Bad service, bad products. Bad company, hang your heads in shame sears. All should walk away from this company that be trusted.
