I am a hurricane Katrina survivor. After losing my home and every thing I owned to 14 foot flood waters, I was forced to move to San Antonio Texas, where I purchased furniture from the Rooms to Go company. After living in San Antonio for a few months I moved to Delmar Maryland, to be near family.
Shortly after arriving in Delmar, a recliner that I purchased from Rooms to Go broke. The back seperated from the seat due to a broken metal bar. The furniture that I purchased had a one year warranty, so I called Rooms to Go's corporate customer service department in Florida, to find out what I needed to do to have my recliner repaired.
I was then informed that because I had moved from the address the furniture was delivered to, my warranty was voided. I explained my situation to the customer service representative who then told me, very rudely, that it was not their problem. I should have read the small print on the receipt, which is true, and I will definately do that from now on. I lost my home, my car, all of my worldly goods and my job due to hurricane Katrina. Now I have just thrown away good money that I really need due to Rooms To Go.
This company has no heart, no compassion for anyone. All they concern themselves with is bottom line.
