Well 3 weeks ago, my a/c broke. This was on June 28. A technician finally came over to look at it a week later, this was on July 5. He determinded that the compressor in my heat pump had gone out. (This is the third time I have had to call to get repairs on this unit)
Well the a/c company proceded to order the part needed to repair my unit, but AHS would not let them install it, because they wanted to order the part b/c they said they could get it for cheaper.
WEll 9 days go by, and I have heard nothing, I had called the A/C co. And AHS numerous time, and no one could tell my anything! No one knew what was going on. Finally on That Friday, July 14, I talked to one of the guys who worked at the A/C co, and he informed me that AHS had orderd the part, and it had been out of stock for 9 days. Coming into stock on that day, Friday, July 14.
I was livid, that AHS had done nothing to try and get the part from somewhere else, and not to mention that the a/c co. Had the part needed to fix it sitting on their self, and they still would not let them use it! Also the whole time AHS had be believing that it was the A/C co. Fault that nothing was getting done. They are VERY misleading.
So I have called and called and sat on hold and sat on hold and everyone that I talked to including the Supervisors all told me "WE will get to the bottom of this and call you back" NOT ONE OF THEM HAS EVER CALLED ME BACK!
No one cares that it is 97 degrees out side, and 92 dergees in my house! To top It off I Was told that the part was shipped on JULy 14, and assured that it would arrive to the A/C co. On Monday July 17. WEll it arrived and IT WAS THE WRONG FREAKING PART! It was not compatatble with my unit. The technician said he emphasised to AHS that they had to have this certain brand, b/c my unit is old, and none others would fit, but they continued to order the cheaper on. To make matters worse, AHS called the A/C co, (Only after i called like 5 times and bugged the crap out of them) and tried to order the same WRONG part again! The a/c co. Denied the order.
So as of today, I am going to get the unit fixed myself, and send the bill to AHS. If they refuse to pay then I will take Legal Action. There is no excuse. WE all need to get together and have one big law suit.
This company needs to be stopped! I don't want anyone else to experience the stress, sleepless nights, and heat rash that I have had to deal with over these past 3 weeks (and 1 day). They have got to be stopped.
