Misleading Advertisement used during a down market period in planned development Vila Di Lago in early 2002 to get suckers in to purchase properties and equally unscrupulous sales reps. Unfortunately unrepresented, I was one of those suckers. Many other purchasers at the time, as sales rep mentioned, were also disappointed and aggravated at the failure of promises kept in writing on sales sheets. This rep LAUGHED it off. SHE LAUGHED at their misfortunes! And as you can see by checking out BBB, they also have an unsatisfactory record with similiar complaints.
At the time, I felt this was a poor investment due to their dishonesty and failure to perform. They demanded 10% down which amounted to $39,000 deposit $3000 in upgrades fees in which NEITHER was refunded. They quickly resold the unit after I backed out, yet still none was refunded to me. It was in my right to later use that monies in escrow, as a lawyer advised me, towards another property which, they refused to oblige to or even consider. They only wanted to sell me the exact same unit but for thousands and thousands higher! I was interested in their other development instead.
Just another case of an unscrupulous company defrauding honest customers! What type of corporation demands 10% down on real estate transaction? Customary percentage earnest in the area is 1 -2%! Lawyers couldn't believe the outrageousness of their demands. Of course as a newbie looking for a nice home and being an out-of-towner, I wasn't aware of this. Sales reps were just as dishonest and cared less about the satisfaction of their customers! I had plans to purchase another property from this construction company for my down-and-out father, but now of course I know what their motives are and the dishonesty that encompasses this company.
They had NO interest in working out a suitable negotiation that would benefit both parties.instead, they cared more about MY cash than satisfying me.

Just a warning for future home buyers in the area. The company WILL NOT NEGOTIATE NOR HELP YOU WHEN YOU ARE IN DISTRESS LOSING LARGE SUMS OF MONEY! They only care about the bottom line - the bucks they pocketed from me! They had no intention to work out a suitable amicable resolution.
