Mark Higdon is the owner of Markos Patios and contracted with me to build a patio and took $2100 as a deposit, then never came back to do the work and never pulled a permit. I filed a complaint with Escambia Board of Contractors Licensing and to date they have done nothing.
Today I filed a small claim action against him and found many others also have filed against him. He has been doing this for several years and now today I have found and spoken to 2 other people he took money from under the pretense of building a patio one lost $5000 another $1000. That is 1/2 years salary for the majority of people leaving in this area. I tried to file a theft report with the Sheriffs office and they said it was civil.
Today at court I find he has his company under LLC so I can't attach his house or his cars since they are under his name. Also he bought a new house for $266,500 in Nov 05 and he owns a Corvette and an Escalade plus other vehicles as well. All he is a thief in businessmans clothing.
If you have ever had any dealings with him please email me, if you are planning to do business with him, do yourself a favor and find someone else who is honest. HE isn't!
