L Kept 25% of total sale to restock defective laminate. Ripoff

Purchased laminate flooring in Jacksonville, FL while visiting our daughter. Transfered laminate to our home in New Port Richey. Out of four boxes or laminate there were only 3 acceptable pieces. Decided to return as the product was obviously defective. Returned to Jacksonville and they would only credit us 75% of the sale. They kept over $800 and told us we would have to contact "corporate".

We tried several times via email, fax, phone messages and no one returned a call. We received a letter stating they were sorry the flooring was not acceptable but that they stood by the 25% restocking fee. We understand a restocking fee if this was a normal return. We were returning DEFECTIVE flooring. We saved one of the boards as proof. We have contacted the better business bureau, have tried to start a website thelaminatestorefraud, getting ready to hire an attorney when I came across this website.

I only hope we can save some other people from what we are going through. They should not be in business and I can't belive they do not even try to make the consumer happy. I plan to let everyone know not to shop at any of their stores. We've even thought to picket their store next time we are in the area. This should not be able to happen to anyone!
