No matter how good the deal is DO NOT shop at this store. What turned into a pleasant shopping experience quickly deteriorated into a nightmare for me! They are happy to take your money, but God forbid you ever need to cancel an order, request a refund or ask for service. Any possible savings on merchandise will be eclipsed by the legal bills and emotional distress you'll face if you ever have to go head to head with the scam artists at this store.
My husband and I purchased a sofa and loveseat set from the store in mid-November. It was scheduled to be delivered ten days later. We paid in full with a check on the date of purchase (Note: It struck me as a bit suspicious that the store only allows cash or checks, no credit cards. I soon discovered why!). Five days after purchasing the furniture, we had a serious family emergency and realized we needed to cancel our purchase for financial reasons. I called the store and was told it was no problem, they would issue a refund check ASAP.
Fast forward to January. Not only have we not gotten a refund check, but the store has made no effort to contact us re: the status. Even worse, whenever we've attempted to call them, we've been stonewalled and told "the check is in the mail". The manager is never available to speak with us and they have resorted to outright lying and pitiful excuses as to where the money is.
So, we have not gotten a refund OR the furniture. The store sure was quick to cash our check ($1,700), though! They also acted grateful for our business every other time we've purchased something there. We've never returned merchandise, bounced checks, or been "difficult customers" in any sense of the word.
The worst part is that we continue to struggle with some difficult family issues at the moment and really don't need this stress on top of everything else! By the way, I think it's low beyond words when a manager refuses to step up and deal with a dicked-around customer and instead makes his employees do the dirty work.
