Plaintiff put $9800 (refundable) at the closing of the Palm Harbor manufactured home for down payment. This was done within the 180-day requirement of Palm Harbors receipt. Plaintiff did everything required of them by Palm Harbor representatives.
Palm Harbor did not follow through with plaintiffs specifications and needs.
The Attorney General was able to get plaintiff back $4934.43 and told plaintiff that they could take it to small claims court since the balance was under $5000.
Their is obviously a loop hole that this manufacturer has found that the BBB, The Manufactured Housing Department and The Attorney General can't or don't want to handle for consumers.
