This company scams real estate agents by misleading them into believing that they will provide them with legitimate leads of consumers who are looking for an agent or who want to know the value of their homes. They get you to sign a 1 year contract for $399 a month and guarantee 10 pre-qualified leads a month.
They provide a name/address/e-mail address
Out of all of the leads I was given, none of the information was accurate or legitimate. E-mails bounced back as no such address, county records did not have records of these addresses, and the names of the leads were definately not real names.
I have search the internet and have found thousands of Realtors across the US who have also been scammed by this company, and are now paying the price of fighting with collection agencies.in the contract that you accepted on line (which was 4 pages crammed into a 2 inch square field) it states that if you cancel you are still liable to pay 50% of the remaining term of your contract.
At $399 a month this is almost $5000 a year, or a $2500 fee for cancelling. THis is a rediculous amount. I can understand a couple hundred dollars, maybe, but this is robbery and something needs to be done about this company's business practices.
I would like for anyone else who is interested to get a class action law suit going against this company before they take advantage of anyone else out there.
I am actively searching for an attorney at this time to get this going. If anyone else has any helpful information, please share it.
Also anyone else who has been ripped of by housevalues.com, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE also file a complaint. You can start with BBB, Attorney General for your state as well as Washington state Attorney General, Local DRE, NAR and any other governing agencies that you know of.
We may not be able to put this company out of business, but we can definately make a difference. Keep an eye on their stocks too. When this hits the media, their stocks will surely fall.
