Mike Brodt Owner Ripoff RUN AROUND One Story after anothe

I recently just bought my new house and I was excited to update the kitchen. So I Placed an order on March 21 for some custom made cabinet doors.

Sent the money as he requested. The invoice on the bottom states "Doors will ship via FedEx in approx. 3 to 4 weeks, if it is longer than 4 weeks you will be notified. Once doors are shipped customer will be given tracking number and projected delivery day".

The time came and went and I didn't receive anything, nothing, no notifications nor the product so I e-mailed them a couple of times and finally rec'd a reply back on May 4.

We are a little behind do to an accident in the shop, but the bandages are off and we are back at it. We will be getting yours finished very soon, will contact you with the tracking number when sent.

At this point I was still ok and was willing to wait, and contacted them again around May with the following result:

Thank you for contacting Michael's Custom Cabinets. Due to a death in the immediate family we will be closed the first part of the week. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Thank you,

That message went on for over 2 weeks

And I contacted them again on May 27, once again looking for an updated status.

Dear Customer,

We appreciate your patience in our time of mourning. We have returned and are getting things back in order. We will be getting everbodies order out as soon as possible. If this delay is something you can not wait for than please send a request to the below address requesting a refund, once received we will evaluate each refund according to the status of your order.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

I contacted them again on June 7 stating that I was sorry for their loss, but felt I had be very patience through out the order and needed to have my order shipped out no latter than 10- June - otherwise I am requesting a full and complete refund immediately. Although I really did/do want my order, I feel that this is more than a reasonable time frame since you have had my order since March along with my payment.

This is the reply I rec'd:

We appreciate your patience and will do everything we can to meet your time frame.

When I tried to call by phone I rec'd an email stating the following:

We are having technical problems with our phone system and will be answering everyone by e-mail for the time being.

I emailed them again and again until I finally said that I just wanted a refund.

The last I have heard from them was on June 14th with the following:

We apologize for the wait for your cabinet doors. We understand you want a refund and will be processing that to you asap. We have just gotten super behind and are trying to make it up to all our customers. You will be hearing from us as soon as we have sent the money back to you. Sincerely, Mike Brodt

I have tried to reach them numerous times since and now they do not return emails and the phone has been disconnected.

There goes my hard earned money down the drain!
