Over a year ago we set up to receive a porta john and scaffolding from a comapny here in Miami, Florida called J&M Scaffolds of Florida. This company provided the toilet and the scaffolding for a steep delivery charge and heft price tag.
Once the over rusted and broken platforms as well as the extremely abused toilet were in place they refused to clean and service the toilet as a part of our contracted agreement. We were and are still paying 75 dollars a month for a toilet that the city requires us to have, but aparently does not require these folks to maintain. On call to the comapany to express our concerns with the over flow of maggots and fumes we would continuously be told that this was common and that the driver should contact them if he was unable to enter the property. Though he never did. We were also told several times that he had just been there and it was locked.
Which at most times was an obvious lie since i was there. I being the owner. Unfortunantly the few times i did see this toilet cleaner i was unable to explain my problem with him since i do not speak spanish. When i told the company this they said they would take care of it. The also said they would credit our account for three of the months. Not even close enough we still felt a little better. Until he continued to not show up, not clean the porta john.
Every call to the company was responded to the same. Then we received a notice of lien from the company after we had used their service for only a couple of months they sent us, what turned out to be a fake, lien on out property with fake information on it stating that we had had service with them for months before we actually had signed an agreement with them, they also included on there that they had sent us a registered copy of a notice before this. Which they obviously can produce no receipt for.
Since the document states the lien is for failure of payment for services for a time that we did not even use there services. When we contacted them they told us it was not really filled. We also let them know that we had paid all the bills we received from them. They said their were outstanding bills, we then spent the next 3 months trying ti get then to fax, mail, or hand those bills to us. They fianly did and we paid them. We then spent the next 4 months trying to get them to clean the toilet and send us another bill.
After many more conversations with the company and the mangers we were told again we would receive that credit. When we finally received our bill, 6 moths later we received no credit as well as being charged for items we do not have. Upon contact with this company they simply deny these facts. We have decided to make as many complaints against this comapny as possible in hopes to stop others from falling into there trap. Why dont we get some one else. We are trying to but we can not seem to get them to help us straighten out this issue so we can fire them and hire someone else.
The scaffolding we sent back becaus it was just so unsafe, and the toilet we have to have because of dade county permiting procedures. Please be very aware of this company. We will be setting up an awareness campaign against the company at www.jmscaffolds.com
