Late last year I made a $5k purchase at the CONTRAST FURNITURE "Pompano Beach Store".
The next day my husband told me the stuff I purchased was too large, so I returned to the store and picked out some other things. I was left with a credit.in which case Lynn (the owner) told me if i wished i could get a refund, i said no i will need to make another purchase with in the next 3 months, so i will take a store credit (yes you can all call me stupid, but i had no clue what was about to happen)
A couple of days later they tried to deliver the furniture I had purchased, thats when every thing went to hell in a hand basket, I was missing things, one coffee table they brought me was so so scracted I did not even want it any where IN SIGHT, the other item the delivery guy wanted to fix, so I said sure becuase, this item i needed very very bad. Well to make a long story short he spray painted it and made it look 20 times worst.
They then said they would order me a new one, that new one took 14 weeks to get. Well so i thought, when the delivery guy came the piece was the wrong color. I tried to contact them and the warehouse all day and no answer. So i called again the next day several times till i finally got a hold of Diane in the Corporate office, who told me she had no idea when i would get my new piece.
The driver also left me a copy of my invoice, so i started to look it over, they some how managed to fudge the numbers or make an error on purpose to the likes of $300.00 in their favor.
SUMMARY
1. FOURTEEN (14) weeks later I still do not have my furniture i long ago paid for in full!
2. Lyn said she NEVER said, i could have a refund. (so now i am a lier)
3. They have 1300.00 of my money and i have nothing to show for it.
4. As per Diane in the "corporate office" she does not know when i will receive my other piece.
5. They try to fudge the invoice so they can keep $300.00 of my money.
6. Their furniture is such CHEAP CHEAP quality and awful craftsmanship and very very over priced. I had no idea what so ever the pieces would be this bad. I would recomend every one in south florida not to purchase from them. This is a common practice as i can see from other complaints filed on the web.
There are other stores in south florida that sell the exact same items for alot less brand new... Not floor models they try to pass off as new!!
