Where is our 10yr Warranty - Trane XL20i and XC95m

We were told by the salesperson we were getting a 10yr labor warranty and it was listed with the 10/12yr parts warranty on the sales order. We verified with the salesperson that the warranties were good with all Trane dealers and were told they were.

After a nightmare install and one summer of it working, the next two summers we have spent more than $2000.00 in labor and Puron to keep the system going. The beginning of the second summer we were told it was an expansion valve and they added 2.3 lbs of puron and then the next summer it was a bad coil that was replace and over 7 lbs of puron was needed.

We found out the beginning of that second summer that we had no 10yr labor warranty as promised by misterQuik and Z? In the Tyler, TX warranty dept. We had asked Z? In Tyler, TX to verify the 10yr parts and labor warranties were transferrable and he said yes and there would be no problem with us changing dealers to get a reputable dealer to service our unit after the install. That turned out to be a half truth and even the Trane field engineer in Plainfield, IN failed us after he acknowledged the poor install after doing a walkthrough with my wife and I post install.

I called Trane to make sure everything was registered and good before we move to a new dealer as when I was trying to register the Trane furnance, Coil and compressor on-line I kept getting rejects which I thought were because they had to steal parts from a system in Kentucky to put in our unit as our circuit board and control modules were missing. I was assured then everything was being registered by misterQuik and then called A? @ at their office to make sure and she assured me they were taking care of everything.

We since found out Trane allows its dealers to opt out of their 10yr labor warranty and cover it themselves without telling the homeowner. A very deceptive practice. Now Trane even outsources their 10yr labor warranty to an insurance underwriter or something sketchy per another dealer.

So, the Trane dealer that trashed our home and new equipment and its installation deceptively did not sign us up for the Trane backed labor warranty that was a valid solution when we purchased our unit. Trane allows this deceptive practice to hurt homeowners who are now stuck with their faulty equipment for the next 12 plus years.

Bad trane. Honor our 10 year warranty that is listed on your web site to go through your dealers to sign up for it which we did and then were lied to by the dealer and your warranty department.

You can see my two postings on Measured Up and one has a link to my google pictures account as well as many others who have their units repaired every year at an average of $1,000 per year. We bought this new unit as our old unit was ready to retire and we did not want the expenses every years..
